Ode to Birthdays in the First Month
Plum blossoms break through snow, their faint fragrance drifts on high,
Birthdays in the year’s first month, warm feelings fill the sky.
Graying temples still hold the resolve of youthful days,
Through life’s long journey, loyal hearts keep burning bright always.
Each dawn bent over desks, we toil with steady might,
Each year beneath the stars, our aspirations never take flight.
Persistence blooms into a sea of flowers at last,
Sweat turns to fruitful harvest, gathered from the past.
Fortune shines like sunlight, melting winter’s cold and chill,
Luck flows like springwater, nurturing fields until they thrill.
Today we raise cups to long life, joyfully we toast,
Health walks beside the years, never to be lost.
We wait for spring winds to bring news of victory’s glow,
Hand in hand with dreams, we climb to higher heights, we know.
Each year on this day, we celebrate with cheer,
Watching rivers flow forever, time’s eternal sphere.
